Next week is our last club meeting for this semester. The time went SO fast.

Please remember to come for the PIZZA party and for the fun celebration when we cross the "finish line" of Faith Race! There will be carnival in the gym with 8 games to play. Your leaders will have the games right where you leave your backpacks. You will get a prize at each game you play! You might win as many as 8 prizes! YAY!!!

Have you noticed that you are getting stronger when you are lifting your weights? The more you work at something the stronger you get. So if you trust Jesus more and more, your FAITH will get stronger and stronger too. Your arm muscles can get strong and your spiritual muscles can get much stronger too! All the Trainers are so proud of you! Keep up the good work!

So far, we have given out 39 medals for learning Hebrews 12:1-2. That is SUPER! If you haven't gotten your medal yet, you have one more club meeting to get it. The more scripture you hide in your heart, the stronger your faith can be -- because we know that..........

Lesson 4

How did you do? Were you able to figure out the speed lettering before you checked the blog? How much of the story can you remember by looking at the little pictures? You can do these paintings too. Try using markers on a smaller paper. Its fun to do the Bible stories this way!

Remember when we are in the Faith Race lesson and worship time the leaders share information about Salvation? Well you can click on this word "Salvation" and it will take you to a cool website presentation for kids that explains it really well too!

WOW! Did you realize we have only 2 weeks left of Faith Race? Please remember to wear your shirt, bring your Bible, return your Checkpoint homework paper and memorize your memory verse - Hebrew 12:1-2 (on the back of your club shirt). The club needs 605 more miles to cross the finish line of our marathon race on May 13th. If we get enough miles this week - everyone in club gets to have pizza and come to the finish line celebration!!! WoooHOO! That will be so much fun! We know you can do it!!!!

Lesson 3 - Noah

What fun to see you all in your shirts. Don't we look like M&M peanuts?!
If you click on the photo you can see it larger. We had about 15 kids missing and 4 adult trainers were not in the photo. It is difficult to get everyone there at the same time!

Your Checkpoint assignment has nothing to check for answers. You just need to color your paper and try to remember all you can about the lesson.

One thing for sure we want you to remember was that NOAH showed his family how to JOG.

Noah really passed the baton on to all of the world when he obeyed God. The only people God left on the earth were those that obeyed God. Very sad to think that there were only 8 people in the whole world that were willing to obey God. Are you willing to JOG today?

AWESOME CLUB! It was good to see that many of you got stronger lifting the weights. You lifted more than you did the week before! That's the way it is with learning from the Bible. The more you read, the more you learn and the stronger your FAITH becomes!

Wasn't it cool how Joshua won the city of Jericho? That sure seemed like a crazy plan for his army. BUT - they did JOG and when they circled the city 7 times, blew the ram's horn and shouted as loud as they could------the walls fell down and they took the city----JUST LIKE GOD SAID!

Welcome to Faith Race

Welcome back, KIDS!
Our new theme for The Great Adventure Club is "Faith Race".
Our opening day, we had 86 club members registered! That is a new record!!!
This semester we will be having fun in God's Word and learning about the "Marathon Relay" of life. Our first week we learned a little about the Life Race of Moses -- starting when he was a baby - clear up to when Moses was too old to lead the Israelites into the Promise Land. When we left the training huddle Moses had just passed the "marathon baton" to.... Joshua!

Check back on Wednesday for the answers to your assignment. Remember to bring the completed assignment to club. You get 5 mile markers when you do!!!
